July 2017 Recap

July was a very busy month around here. We celebrated the 4th of July and spent a week in Minnesota. (I blogged about those too, see my previous 2 posts).

My father in law, the kid's Papa Tim, built the kids their own log cabin play house! Grandma Madonna made the interior amazing! There's a chalk board, table and chairs, a loft bed and all. It is so perfect for them. They are going to have so much fun this summer playing in it.

The kids also had a ton of fun playing out side. We had the sprinklers and pool out many time this month. And when the girls got too hot, they took a drink from the sprinkler HAHA. How many of you grew up taking a drink from the hose on a hot summer day? Did you really have a childhood if you didn't?

Barrett also enjoyed the sunshine. He rocked this super cute fishing hat Papa Tim got him while on vacation.

Honestly, why do we buy toys... ??? Barrett is completely content playing with measuring spoons in his high chair while I clean the kitchen.

We also started mashing up Barrett's food in this neat little thing I ordered off Amazon. Barrett hasn't taken to table food yet. He has a really bad gag reflex. He really needed something thicker than the lower stage baby foods but not as thick at the higher ones. This has been a life saver and is really easy to travel with.

After we got back from Minnesota, my parents got a new puppy. His name is Ruger and he's an English Springer Spanial. The kids had a blast welcoming him to the family. Buddy (my parent's older dog) was not too happy to have a puppy around.

I love this picture of Brooklyn. It's nothing special but it's special to me. It fits her personality perfectly.

On the planner side of things, I picked up a new photo album to use for my planner sticker storage. It's working perfectly so far. I've been able to organize my stickers so they are much easier to use.

I also started organizing my HTV in an over the door shoe organizer. I am also loving this system. I like to organize them by color but I also want to see all the colors I have in stock at one time.

Well that's all for this blog. July was really busy (hence why there were 3 posts). We had a lot of fun this month and I hope you all did as well!
