Hi Everyone!
I hope you are all having a lovely day.
I wanted to share a super simple and delicious recipe with you.
My husband spent a lot of time with his grandparents growing up and one of his favorite meals that his grandmother made was "Four Crawd" AKA For a Crowd. My husband and his sister grew up calling it Four Crawd and I'm pretty sure grandma just didn't have the heart to correct them or thought it was a funny name they came up with.
My husband's grandma gave me the recipe when we got married and the name on the recipe card was "For a Crowd". My husband still doesn't believe me and still calls it Four Crawd. :)
So we went to make For A Crowd Casserole but I couldn't find the recipe card!!! I was so upset but luckily my husband remembers all the ingredients. Or at least he thinks he does. So this may or may not be the exact way to make it. But either way, it's yummy! And did I mention easy!!!
List of Ingredients:
- 1 Can Cream of Chicken Soup
- 1 Can Cream of Mushroom Soup
- 1 Can Corn - Drained
- 1 lb Hamburger - cooked and drained
- 2-3 Cups Shredded Cheese - I used cheddar, but you could use any kind you like.
- 1 Package Wide Egg Noodles
- 2-3 Cups Potato Chips - Crunched
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees
- Brown hamburger on stove. I also added salt, pepper and minced onion for flavor, but it's not required.
- Cook noodles using the cooking instructions on the package
- In a med-large mixing bowl, mix together the cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, corn, hamburger, noodles and shredded cheese.
- Pour mixture into a 9x13 baking dish. (If you don't have a non stick pan, I'd suggest lightly spraying it with non stick cooking spray)
- Back at 375 for 25-30 mins.
- Crunch up enough potato chips to cover the whole top of the casserole. This will probably be about 2-3 cups of crunched potato chips.
- Pull dish out of oven, sprinkle crunch potato chips all over the top of the casserole.
- Put back in oven for about 5 mins.
- Then it's ready to serve!
I'd love to hear if you tried this recipe!! Feel free to change it how ever you need to. I love trying new recipes and changing them to fit my family.
