I hope you all had a great weekend! We had a busy weekend and I didn't get to snap as many pictures as I would have liked.
Friday the girls stayed at my parents so I could get some cleaning and laundry done for Saturday.
We had a party for my husband's birthday. He wanted to do a fish fry and have a party during the Iowa game. So that's what we did. We had a great turn out and a lot of yummy food!!
I bought my husband a bottle of Crown Black but Wal-Mart forgot to take off the security tag thing. The alarm didn't go off or anything. So what do you do?? Grab some power tools of course! The guys got it open faster than if I would have taken it back. Apparently it was worth all the work. LOL. And it was pretty comical to watch.
Saturday we finished getting ready for the party and had lunch with my husband's dad, his wife and grandparents. We just has a light lunch before the party.
People started showing up around 5pm. We had so much good food. My husband fried the fish and hush puppies and I made some baked beans. We also had pasta salad, cheesy potatoes, meatballs, cheddar biscuits and more. And one of our friends brought homemade chocolate cake and it was AMAZING!! I'll have to get that recipe!
Sunday was my husband's birthday. I'm so lucky to have him in my life, let alone be his wife and have a family with him. He's a hard worker and an amazing husband and father. He built his lawn care business from the ground up and it's turned into a great business. He has a great clientele and prides himself in doing quality work.
He went fishing in the morning with some buddies and my dad. So the girls and I had some time at home. They were both exhausted from the party. So they pretty much lounged around and Brooklyn took a good two hour nap. While Brooklyn napped and Bella lounged around, I did some laundry and worked on the Etsy shop. I got about 10 printables up in the shop. I'm so excited it's officially open!!
You can visit the shop at Belle&Brooke Designs. I'm still working on creating more Christmas/Winter printables.

Sunday afternoon we went over to my parents for the Vikings game and for dinner. Bella likes looking through the toy ads and marking what she likes.
Brooklyn was being a little cheeser. She kept putting a toy bucket on her head and walking around. She wouldn't hold still long enough for me to get a decent picture but it was hilarious!!
Bella of course had to make silly faces too. Her personality gets stronger and stronger everyday. She's such a spunky, sassy and smart little girl.
That was our weekend... How was yours? Hope you all had a great weekend!
Stay tuned for Wednesday, I'll be posting another recipe.
